We’ve had a fantastic last minute long weekend break. The Lodge is gorgeous, we felt very at home.

I was a travel writer for 10 years and in all that time, and since, I have never come across a holiday rental that was so well equipped. (I agree with a previous guest: such a treat to find sharp knives!) and so user-friendly.

We all had a wonderful week- adventures every day. Then a return to our cosy haven here: sometimes almost too cosy: wow, what heating!! - our favourites a) the walk back from delish lunch at Fishing Boat Inn in Boulmer, b) the fabulous beach and sand dunes just south of Alnmouth, c) the castle at Warkworth )another great walk from here.

Midwood Cottage exceeded our expectations - what a little gem!! The style, comfort and pristine cleanliness is a credit to you both and the cottage has EVERTHING in it that anyone could want/need!
