The Northmberland Heritage Coastline has been designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and offers some of the finest coastal walking in the country.
We are fortunate to have splendid beaches close by including Alnmouth beach, Newton- by -the-Sea, Budle Bay, Walkworth and Bamburgh to name but a few.
Alnwick Castle and the world famous Alnwick Garden are ten minutes drive from the Alnmouth.
Cycling
There is ample storage for bikes. The Northumberland cycle route runs through Alnmouth and up to Craster winding through pretty fishing villages.
Market Towns
The local market towns and villages are lovely and unspoilt and include; Alnwick. Warkworth, Ford and Etal, Craster and Holy Island.
Fishing
The Aln, Coquet, Tweed and Tyne river systems are amongst the best in country for salmon, sea trout, and trout fishing. The season for salmon/sea trout is from February through to November.
The coast offers very good sea fishing off the beach/rocks or boats from Seahouses and Amble, mainly winter months for cod etc.

Bird Watching
Northumbria is one of the UK's richest regions for birds. More than 400 species have been recorded here. There are local boat trips to the Farne Islands or take a boat trip around Coquet Island to see the puffins, terns, ducks and seals.
Alnmouth has its own golf course and there are others on the doorstep including Alnmouth Foxton, Alnwick, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh Castle, Seahouses, Linden Hall and Matfen and Slaley Hall.
